We’re hiring!

—21st December 2020

After a busy 2020 and the prospect of an even busier 2021, RedBook is making two new appointments. The first is the senior role of Property Director who will be based in London and develop new business opportunities as well advise our clients. The second is an Office Manager role, based in Hungerford, Berkshire, or London. If you know someone ideal for either role, please do get in touch.

Founded by Sandy Mitchell, the RedBook Agency has traditionally operated in London and across the country and has recently extended its services to clients overseas.

For 10 years RedBook has advised clients on large residential property projects in prime central London and the country. RedBook has now broadened its remit to include ‘end-to-end’ advice from property acquisitions to post-project property management—including commercial projects. In each case, RedBook uses its expertise and curated contacts to match clients with the best team or specialist consultant for their particular need.

RedBook enjoys a high level of professional and critical respect, as evidenced by client testimonials and editorial features in the FT, House & Garden etc, (and by RedBook’s professional peer-group research). The FT How to Spend It named RedBook as the firm ‘with the unrivalled contacts book’.

RedBook aims to deliver a client experience that leads naturally to appreciative testimonials including recent ones, such as from the global head of markets at one of the biggest investment banks: ‘Thank you for your usual professionalism and thoughtfulness.’ The ultimate accolade was from another top business figure: ‘RedBook saved my marriage’.

There are two offices: one near Oxford Circus, mainly used for client meetings and meeting fellow professionals, while the main administrative office is in Hungerford, Berkshire.

Until recently RedBook has been run by a small tight-knit team. Then in October 2020, the established team was strengthened by the hiring of a new CEO, Tom Adams. The firm has huge potential for growth both in its existing market, and in new markets (see below).

RedBook is currently engaged in advising on at least 45 projects ranging from Grade I-listed house renovations to new build ultra-contemporary houses and everything in between. The properties involved range in value from £4m – £60m+.

Property Director

RedBook is expanding its team in order to develop and nurture new business opportunities and therefore has created the new senior position of Property Director.

The role will be that of a ‘hunter/farmer’, managing client relationships and winning new mandates across the spectrum of RedBook’s business with particular emphasis on prime central London. The Property Director will report directly to the CEO.

The successful candidate will have 10 years+ post-qualification experience, and a developed network of property professionals in London, including prime central London estate agents and buying agents as well as private-wealth professional-advisers (e.g. private banks, family offices, private-client lawyers).

The candidate will have experience of property projects—new build or refurbishments—in their professional or personal life. They will be equipped with considerable technical knowledge of building/restoration projects. An attractive remuneration package will be offered for this role.

The successful candidate will be:

– Extremely personable

– Able to express themselves clearly and persuasively in written proposals, emails and orally

– Confident in giving presentations to small and large groups

– Convincing in sharing knowledge of projects and professional teams

– Used to providing outstanding service to HNW and prominent clients

– Broadly cultured and engaged with life outside work

Office Manager

This will be a key role in the RedBook office. The successful candidate must have previous administrative or secretarial experience in a fast-paced workplace, ideally working with private clients. They will have experience or an understanding of social media, be efficient, driven and possess a willingness to pitch in. Relevant qualifications would be beneficial but not a must. The role can be based either at RedBook’s London office or at its Hungerford office.

The role will include:

– Assisting with newsletter/database management

– Administrative and operational tasks in a fast-paced office

– Support to Projects Director with client projects

– Assistance with written and visual proposals for clients

– Upkeep of supplier portfolios

– Social media management

Candidates should email careers@redbookagency.com with a CV and covering letter. We look forward warmly to hearing from you.
